Can we paddle anywhere?
In the UK, you need a license to paddle in most of
the waterways, rivers, lakes, etc.
BCU membership (Canoe
England, Canoe
Wales, Scotland Canoe Association and the Canoe Association
of Northern Ireland) includes a license to paddle
on 5000km of Britain's waterways and canals.
Not all inland water is open to canoeists, some are
privately owned or is bounded by land which is private,
so do check beforehand. See Useful

Shipping
/ Deliveries
Kayaks
are packed into respective carry bags / packpacks, with the
frame pieces being shrink or bubble wrapped. The pack bag/s are
packed into shrink wrapped
cardboard boxes. The boxes are large and heavy - weighing between 18
- 30 kg each.
You may opt
to arrange collection of your order from us - based in Reading,
Berks. We would love to assemble your
boat with you.
Rest of the World
Postage costs
Shipping will mostly be direct from the Wayland factory in Poland via the most
economical means - prices on request.
UK
Postage costs
For large parcels, we use UPS as first choice but may use another courier.
Small parcels may go via myHermes. Approx costs are as follows:-
Short single seater (450cm) = £40.00
Long single seater (500cm) = £55.00
Short double seater (520cm) = £60.00
Medium double seater (550cm) = £65.00
Multi-seater (570cm) =
£70.00
Replacement skin = £30.00
Smaller individual items not sent with boat/skin - EG spraycovers, sea
socks, etc = £10.00
We reserve the right to change these prices at any time.
They are intended as an average guide as to what you can
expect to pay - on order placement,
we will quote your the relevant P&P. Depending on various circumstances & locality,
sometimes we can do a personal delivery instead of using courier. If we do,
we will be more than happy to help you with your first-time assembly.
At ordering time, we will
let you know of the approx current delivery times.
Delivery Methods
Nearer to the time of dispatch, we will contact you to arrange a date and an
estimated time of arrival. We are unable to guarantee delivery dates but you
can be assured we will make every effort to get your order to you as soon as
practical. All items are checked for damage or defects before dispatch.
Small Items EG - Spray deck, spare parts, books,
Small items are sent using either myHermes or Royal Mail.
Large Items EG - kayak, replacement hull, sail rigs, etc
For larger bulky items we use UPS as first choice. This is usually 2 working
days service from dispatch although this is not guaranteed.
In order to minimise possible damage en-route, we reserve the right to withhold
dispatch in the event of abnormal bad weather, postal strikes etc. We will
liaise with you should this occur.
Receiving orders
On arrival please inspect package/s for any signs of damage. Do let us know
of any faults that you may find ASAP. It will be very helpfull if clear photos
are included with your feedback 'report'. This will help speed up the problem
resolution with the factory.
Should the kayak be badly damaged, faulty etc, we cannot be held responsible
for “collateral damage” should we not be able to deliver a replacement
kayak in time for some important kayaking event.
