Can we paddle anywhere?
In the UK, you need a license to paddle in most of the waterways, rivers, lakes, etc.
BCU membership (Canoe England, Canoe Wales, Scotland Canoe Association and the Canoe Association of Northern Ireland) includes a license to paddle on 5000km of Britain's waterways and canals.

Not all inland water is open to canoeists, some are privately owned or is bounded by land which is private, so do check beforehand. See Useful Websites page.

Kayak Rebuilds

Rebuilds are folding kayaks where we already have the original frame on hand but will arrange for the replacement skin to be made on request. You decide on the deck colour, deck features (EG paddle pockets / holders, deck-lines) and keelstrips, etc.

The frames are in reasonable to very good condition. To keep costs down, the frames are not re-varnished etc. This can be your DIY project if neccessary, but in most cases, the frames do not require re-varnishing for a few more years. Photos can be supplied on request.
